05 Dec 2006, Ben turns 8 months old. Ben weighs 7.2 kg and 13.5" tall (on stack, measured by Kelvin). Still a puppy and will be good to build more mass from now. He definately slimmed down abit due to frequent walks and exercise. He looks skinny now due to his stripping. I just completed the last stage (5th week) of stripping myself, on the remaining portions. The head, abit tricky especially coming to the eyebrows. Now is to care for the exposed skin and wait for his coat to grow. Kelvin is going away again soon, hope by then Ben's coat is ready for some touch up (rolling & raking).

Some local commercial groomers (pet shops) claimed that they can do good stripping job on Miniature Schnauzers, but if they do not show Miniature Schnauzer, I will not buy their marketing even they have good recommendation in forums, websites or even thru pet dog owner's recommendation.

The important part of grooming, is how to bring out the best of the dog's structure towards the breed standard and hide all the lumps, bumps, or dips. Sometime I call grooming an Art! Only people who appreciate the breed will know what is all about.
