Diet ~ What To Feed?

Whenever come to this question "What is the best diet?", it is always the toughest to answer. Some people who feed their dogs on kibbles (commercial dry food), some prefer their specially prepared Home Cook Food and some beleive in BARF. Each group has their reasons behind the type of feed. I decided to drop BARF for now as I do not have the time to prepare the complete meals.

As for home cook diet. I find feeding cooked brown rice is always messy, besides we do not know the complete diet in terms of nutrition. Many schanuzer owners feel that home cooked food is the best, but when I ask them in depth questions pertaining to nutrition values, they all either cannot answer or simply ignore my questions. "They think they know!" but do they really know? lol.. not going to bombard them in my blog here or going into a debate.

I got this article from a friend when I got -ve feedback on Menadione (Vitamin K3), which is found in the brand of kibbles that I feeding Ben. http://www.azmira.com As such, I decided to change to another brand. Ben is now coverting from Azmira LifeStyle (aka Lamb Meal) to EaglePack Holistic Select® Duck Meal & Oatmeal Formula. He seems happy with the change but I will be monitoring it closely for the next few months. I will be rotating the kibbles in a few months time but yet have not decided on the next brand or favour.
